MÖF – the Swedish Association for Environmental Journalists
Founded in 1990, MÖF is the natural rallying point for journalists in Sweden that cover environmental issues. Today we are about 100 members. Since 1993 MÖF has been a member of the International Federation of Environmental Journalists.
Our goals are:
promoting good environmental journalism and
contributing to strengthening the position of environmental issues in the public debate.
We invite our members and occasionally external guests to debates, lectures, pub evenings and parties. A well-known and popular event is our annual Christmas party, bringing together people active in all aspects of the environmental field in Sweden. In 2004 we began awarding the “Environmental Journalist of the Year” prize (Årets Miljöjournalist) in cooperation with the Edbergstiftelsen foundation.
MÖF is financed by member fees and by selling our member register to organizations, companies and authorities that want to get in contact with our members.
